Program For Effective Leadership

Purpose

The Program for Effective Leadership (PEL) offers managers and executives opportunities to enhance their leadership abilities, and become more productive in their careers and personal lives.

Description

During the five-day program, held on the Rollins College campus in Orlando, Florida and other locations nationally, participants gain significant insight into how others view them and how their behavior affects their leadership effectiveness. Through 360-degree feedback, experiential and classroom learning, and skill building, individuals learn effective leadership behaviors.

Learning Objectives

  • To identify and understand individual leadership strengths as well as opportunities for improvement
  • To develop practical action plans to capitalize on these strengths and shore up any weaknesses in leadership effectiveness
  • To develop vital trust-building and visionary skills necessary to effectively lead others toward organizational goals

PEL builds managerial and leadership skills through four types of learning experiences:

  • Traditional Learning (lecture)
  • Experiential Learning
  • Receiving Feedback
  • Managing Self-Development
